Reversing a Caravan

Do you have trouble reversing into a parking bay?

Try the following:

• Drive up to the parking bay on the same side of the road as the parking bay.
• Drive up so far that your drivers door is level with the near side of the parking bay.
• Drive forward slowly engaging left lock on the steering wheel until locked.
• Then return the steering wheel so that you are facing straight ahead.
• Your caravan should now be pointing towards the parking bay.
• Reverse into the parking bay slowly using your mirrors to maintain the correct position.
• If you need to go right, place your hand on the steering wheel at the six o’clock position and turn the steering wheel to the right.
• If you need to go left, place your hand on the steering wheel at the six o’clock position and turn the steering wheel to the left.
